Just after 12:30 Fuller and Crescent Hose Company were dispatched to a brush fire along the railroad tracks off Ackerman Lane.
L12 arrived and confirmed the working fire which was spreading East with the wind. Brush 216 arrived and cut the fire off from spreading East. Engine 212 arrived and the crew overhauled and checked for hotspots before clearing. The fire is being investigated by the district fire warden.
Please be cautious if you choose to burn today. The conditions favor the fire (high wind, low humidity). Erie county remains at high risk for fires today. More information to be shared tonight on Erie News Now
