Steps to Becoming a Member

Fill out and submit the inquiry form.
- Must be 21 or Older
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Drivers License

FHC Membership Director will:
- Make contact, answer questions and provide a membership application
- Schedule and conduct a tour of the station

Once your application is received, the Membership Director will:
- Conduct a background check
- Review references and applicable experiences, certifications, and classes
- Schedule and conduct applicant interview
- Once membership is approved, new members will be contacted and scheduled for orientation.

Probationary Period (typically completed within member's first six (6) months
- Obtain gear
- Complete initial training courses (CPR, HAZMAT, etc.)
- Attend one (1) meeting a month
- Attend three (3) training sessions a month
- Complete additional background screening
