April was another active month for the volunteers of Fuller Hose Company #1 as members responded to 23 calls for service throughout North East and surrounding communities.
From emergency responses to training and mutual aid assignments, members continued the department’s long-standing mission of neighbors helping neighbors.

During the month of April, Fuller Hose Company #1 responded to:

- 2 Vehicle Fires
- 2 Brush Fires
- 1 Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) Assignment
- 4 Vehicle Accidents
- 1 Water Rescue
- 3 Automatic Fire Alarms
- 3 Carbon Monoxide Alarms
- 4 EMS Assists
In addition to calls within our district, 26% of the company’s responses involved providing mutual aid assistance to neighboring departments and communities.

Training Never Stops
April also marked the company’s first live fire training of 2026 at the Home for Fire/Rescue Training Center located at Gravel Pit Park.
The training focused on strengthening engine company operations, fire attack, teamwork, and multi-company coordination in realistic fire conditions. These hands-on evolutions help ensure members are prepared to safely and effectively handle emergencies when seconds matter most.
