Just before 9:30 am, Fuller Hose was dispatched to Kwik Fill on E Main Road for a reported tractor-trailer fire. Engine 202 arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the semi and stretched the front bumper. The owner of the semi reported a mechanical failure called “run away”. Crews from 202 and Crescent Hose Company Engine 212 used a bag of oil dry to stall the engine out. Once the mechanical issue was resolved crews contained a small oil spill.
