Greater Erie Board of Realtors Presents Check to Home for Fire/Rescue Training After Successful Bingo Plus Event
Erie, PA – On Thursday, September 26, 2024, the Greater Erie Board of Realtors held its annual Bingo Plus event at the Perry Hi-Way Social Hall, marking another year of giving back to the community. For the second year in a row, the board proudly selected the Home for Fire/Rescue Training as its non-profit beneficiary. This state-of-the-art live fire training facility, located at Gravel Pit Park, is co-owned and managed by Crescent Hose Company, Fuller Hose Company, and the Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company.
With more than 300 enthusiastic attendees, the sold-out event was a resounding success. The local fire departments rallied to show their support, with members from each department volunteering throughout the evening. This dedication underscores the importance of the training facility, which has welcomed local, state, and national instructors to train firefighters who protect lives and property throughout Erie County and beyond.
The proceeds from this year’s Bingo Plus event will be directed toward maintaining and expanding the Home for Fire/Rescue Training facility, ensuring it remains a vital resource for current and future first responders.
This morning, the Greater Erie Board of Realtors held a press conference to formally present a check of $28,467.90. This contribution will help further the mission of providing quality, hands-on training for the brave firefighters who serve our community.
The three fire departments—Crescent Hose, Fuller Hose, and Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company—are incredibly grateful to the Greater Erie Board of Realtors for selecting them as beneficiaries once again. Their support helps advance the critical education and training of local first responders, which ultimately benefits the entire community.
